The Seven Beatitudes (Blessings) Contained in The Book of Revelation

“Revelation of Yahusha HaMashiach, which Elohim gave Him to show His servants that has to take place with speed.  And He signified it (made it known) by sending His messenger (angel) to His servant Yahanan (John).” (Revelation 1:1)

The Seven Blessings of Revelation

It is often said by those who don’t know any better, that the Book of Revelation is a very negative and scary book of the Bible, and that no one can really understand it. But those whom the Father is calling and who have studied this book and see the blessings contained in it, know that this not true. The Book of Revelation is a dynamic and fascinating book, and when we read through it carefully, we find seven beatitudes (blessings) within its pages.

Oh, how blessed we are if we will only read it and take the message Yahuah gives to us (through His servant John) very seriously! This book is a priceless gift to the children of Yahuah.  If we read it and hear (heed) what is contained in this book of “revealings”, we will reap seven specific blessings. But this message is not to the general public, but only to those who serve Yahuah (His servants) and walk in His truth.

The word “be·at·i·tude” means: supreme blessedness; and “blessed” is Strong’s #3107 makarios which means: happy, blessed, to be envied. (Strong’s Concordance)

The Greek word translated “blessed” means “happy, blissful” or, literally, “to be enlarged.” So what happens when we read the Book of Revelation and apply it to our lives? The following words describe what it means to be “blessed”.

HELPS Word-studies: 3107 makários (from mak-, “become long, large”) – properly, when Yahuah extends His benefits (the advantages He confers); blessed. 3107 /makários (“blessed”) describes a believer in enviable (“fortunate”) position from receiving Yahuah’s provisions (favor) – which (literally) extend (“make long, large”) His grace (benefits). This happens with receiving (obeying) Yahuah’s inbirthings of faith. Hence, faith (4102 /pístis) and 3107 (makários) are closely associated (Ro 4:5-7,14:22,23; Rev 14:12,13). (HELPS WORD-studies)

The very first verse in the Book of Revelation states that a revelation was given to Yahusha by His Father, and that, He in turn, was to pass it on to His servants through the apostle John. We can sense that the revelation that is given is very important and is of utmost urgency! What was this revelation?  It was a very important message about future events that were about to take place. And then in verse 3 we are given a promise that those who read the revelation of these prophecies and hear (heed) them and keep them are Blessed.

So here, we have the very first Blessing in the Book of Revelation:

Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

John is given the message that there is a SPECIAL BLESSING for those who “read” and also “hear” the words that are written in this Book. No other book of the Bible (not even in the Gospels or in Psalms) which contain many blessings and promises) has this promise written out for those who read that particular book.  Yahusha specifically makes a promise that He gave to John to write down, that the person who reads this Book, with its many prophecies about the events that are going to happen in the end times, will receive certain blessings, if they heed and apply the admonishments He gives.  For those who have eyes to see, we know that Yahuah wants us to understand the importance that His servants read the Book of Revelation.

As we can see, the Book of Revelation is unique and extraordinary in this way. If we want to receive the blessings that are contained in this Book, then we need to heed the first admonishment contained in the very first “Blessing”. If we take the time to read this Book and then hear (heed) what it has to say, then we will reap certain rewards and we will be truly Blessed for all eternity.

The very first Blessing is in Revelation 1:3; it tells us that we need to read this prophecy (that John is writing down) and to keep the things written in it, and not only read it, but to hear it! Does this mean that we are to hear it with our ears only? No, for according to the context in this passage “hear” has a much deeper spiritual significance.

To “hear”, just as we read in other parts of the Bible, and especially in the messages to the Seven Churches, implies not only hearing the words audibly, but understanding what we hear by comprehending the message that Yahuah’s Word is relaying to us, and then taking it to heart by putting that message (i.e. admonition) to work in our lives.

In the very first verse we are told that the Book of Revelation is a REVELATION! It is meant to be understood, but by whom? The words of this Book were given to Yahusha HaMashiach by his Father and is a revelation (disclosure) which is to be given to His SERVANTS (i.e. bond-slaves).

Who are Yahusha’s servants? The Greek word for servant is doúlos (Strong’s #1401) and means:

“someone who belongs to another; a bond-slave, without any ownership rights of their own. Ironically, doúlos (“bond-slave”) is used with the highest dignity in the New Testament – namely, of believers who willingly live under HaMashiach’s authority as His devoted followers”. (Bible Word Study)

This shows that to be a servant (bond-slave) of Yahusha is the highest honor that one could have. The bond-slaves of Yahusha are those who believe in Him as their Master and Messiah, who have the shed blood  of Yahusha HaMashiach’s sacrifice applied to their sins, who have been baptized, have the Ruach HaKodesh and who are striving to obey all His laws and are walking in the way of His truth and do not embrace false religions or practices. They are Yahusha’s faithful followers just like John describes in Revelation 14:4-5. His bond-slaves are the only ones who are even willing to seek to understand what the Book of Revelation is about. Clearly, the messages contained in Revelation are directed to Elohim’s servants as they are the ones who will read them, hear them, and keep those things;  and it is they who will received the Blessings that are outlined in this Book.

The writer, who is the apostle John (but who is speaking on behalf of Yahusha HaMashiach) exhorts us in this first beatitude to not only read and hear but to also KEEP these things that are written by him.

The word “keep” is derived from a Greek word which means “to guard from loss or injury and to watch over and guard” The word is téreó (Strong’s #5083).

We are to KEEP these sayings in the manner of guarding them, keeping our eyes focused upon them, and not losing these words by either neglecting them or letting them become twisted or becoming blended in with other religions in any way .

When we read and hear the words of this prophesy (letting them sink down into our hearts); we are to maintain them and heed them by holding fast to them, being mindful of them always. And by so doing, we WILL receive the blessings and the promises that the Book of Revelation has to offer.

When we read and understand what the Book of Revelation is about and what it promises, especially in the concluding chapters about Elohim’s Holy City and the future part that we can have in it, it gives us great comfort and encouragement. By this alone, it is a great blessing to know that Elohim has a marvelous plan that will come to fruition after the tumultuous events that are to happen just before the return of HaMashiach.

We read of the horrible events that are coming as a result of the evil in the world in Revelation, but for those who are Elohim’s servants, we can take comfort in the fact that Yahusha is going to have the ULTIMATE VICTORY over sin and evil that culminates at the end of this age and He will usher in a righteous, just and glorious age to replace it!

The horrible events spoken of in the first part of Revelation will make way to the wonderful events that will take place afterward, namely the resurrection, the setting up of Elohim’s glorious Kingdom, the one-thousand year Millennium and then the Great White Throne Judgment. And if we belong to Yahuah as the Father’s own children, His victory means that His children will have victory as well.

By reading the words of this Book we come to know and understand an outline of what is coming. If we are warned ahead of time, it gives us the opportunity to be prepared, especially in our minds of what to expect. If we know what to expect and that HaMashiach will have the victory and will set up the glorious Kingdom of Elohim soon after, it helps us not be frightened by all the terrible disasters and havoc that are prophesied to come down on Elohim’s enemies and the world at large.

The warnings are given so we can remain steady and unshakable, and by our knowledge and understanding of the prophecies, we will not be terrified, dismayed, perplexed or anxious about those things we see happening around us and to the nations of this world. We will have faith that Yahuah has an ultimate plan to save all mankind: for those who want to be saved. We will comprehend that HaMashiach  will bring victory, not only for His faithful followers, but ultimately for the whole world. We will KNOW ahead of time that Yahuah has made provisions for the protection and safety of His people if they heed the warnings and do as He directs when this time comes.

He will keep us surrounded with His presence, even in the midst of the most horrifying events taking place in the tribulation period! Elohim will not abandon us nor forget about us even if we do have to suffer and die during this time period for He will give us the strength to get through it.  There are wonderful promises that Yahuah will raise up those who stay steadfast to the end, to a glorious spiritual body and to life everlasting as a member of Elohim’s own Family.

We will have the understanding and knowledge of how Yahuah is fulfilling His word to rid the world of evil and those that insist on being wicked; and that He is carrying out His plan to put an end to the current world Babylonian system. In addition, we will be blessed with the foreknowledge that He is going to establish a restored and much better world where pain and suffering are no more and death is defeated. We can look FORWARD to all the promises that will become our realty in all their fullness as we enter a glorious and fabulous Kingdom, the glory of which defies all imagination at this time.

As we begin to see these prophecies unfolding in our midst and in the world, we can be inspired and motivated to diligently be overcoming our human weaknesses. As we see the prophecies unfolding, we will desire to do our Father’s work even more urgently in the teaching and proclaiming of the Gospel Message to our brethren and to the rest of the world. We will want to give warning to all men and women to repent of their sins and share what Yahuah has revealed to us with them so that as many people as possible will not perish in the coming Judgment.

We will truly be blessed if we read and hear the words and prophecies contained in the Book of Revelation. And as we read and study what this Book tells us, we will be given even more revelation of the whole Bible as we come to see that Revelation is the summation that points us back into the rest of Yahuah’s Word for Yahuah begins the fascinating true story of mankind in Genesis, and ends it with Revelation with many of the scenarios paralleling and supporting each other. The Book Revelation is basically a conclusion of what was started in Genesis.

To know and understand Yahuah’s truth and His Plan of Salvation is empowering for those who are called-out now; it is very much a BLESSING to understand these things. We can come to see how the Plan of Salvation is woven throughout the history of man’s beginning and then how that Plan culminates in the concluding Chapter which is the Book of Revelation.   It fills us with much hope and we can anticipate the things that Yahuah has planned for mankind in the soon coming future events.

The Book of Revelation is a type of GRAND FINALE, so to speak, to the Plan that Elohim put into motion in the very first book of the Bible which is the Book of Genesis. By reading and observing the whole Word of Elohim, the Bible, Yahuah reveals that Plan to His called-out ones, those who obey and serve Him. When we read and take to heart not only the Book of Revelation, but the whole Word of Elohim, we come to see that the whole Bible is a supernatural book and it contains the keys to obtaining eternal life dwelling forever with our Awesome Father and His Righteous Son… IF we heed and apply the things we learn contained in its pages.

Along with the Seven Churches, seven eyes, seven seals, seven trumpets, seven plagues, etc. there are also seven BLESSINGS (or Beatitudes) contained in the Book of Revelation. These seven blessings are dispersed throughout the Book of Revelation and are promised to the Ekklesia if they adhere to Yahuah’s laws and His Way unto death.

Just as the seven MESSAGES to the Churches (Revelation 2-3) are directed to all of Yahuah’s children, not only in the time that the apostle John lived, but to every era since, right up to the time of HaMashiach’s return; likewise all of these blessings are directed to all of Yahuah’s people throughout history.

Just like the Beatitudes that are listed in Matthew 5, these blessings come with certain promises if we are living obedient lives to Yahuah. The seventh and final Beatitude gives a summary mandate and then pronounces the ultimate BLESSING for the servants of Yahuah; those who keep His commandments and do His will. It is the most supreme reward anyone could ever imagine or could ever desire!

The messages contained in these beatitudes, just like the messages to the seven churches, are for those who “have ears to hear”, who apply those things that they hear to their walk with Elohim as they live out their lives serving their Master HaMashiach.

Here are the Seven Beatitudes in Revelation:

Revelation 1:3 (Blessing #1)

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Revelation 14:13 (Blessing #2)

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in HaMashiach from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

Revelation 16:15 (Blessing #3)

Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments [keeps himself clean from sin], lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Revelation 19:9 (Blessing #4)

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.  And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of Elohim.

Revelation 20:6 (Blessing #5)

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of Yahuah and of HaMashiach, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelation 22:7 (Blessing #6)

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Revelation 22:14 (Blessing #7)

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Commentary on the Seven Blessings

*BLESSING 1

~ Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

A blessing is pronounced for those who READ, HEAR, and KEEP the words of Revelation. This fits in with the same admonishment that is given at the end of each of the seven messages to the seven churches,  “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches”. Which implies not only hearing, but keeping these things that Yahusha is exhorting us to do.

*BLESSING 2

~ Revelation 4:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in HaMashiach from henceforth: Yea, said the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them.

For those who are living to please Yahuah and who are being conformed to His likeness, there is a Blessing if they endure to the end and remain faithful until they die. At that time they are no longer subject to the evil and temptation of this present evil world; and all their works of being faithful to Yahuah will follow them. Yahuah will remember all their good works and they will be richly rewarded for them.

They will be rewarded with eternal life and with whatever position of leadership that they had qualified for while living their lives here on earth (Matthew 25:14-46). They will leave Satan’s world, his temptations, and sin behind forever and will eternally live in a world that is righteous, holy, and beautiful with a HOLY and RIGHTEOUS King; and will be Yahuah’s sons and daughters in His eternal Family.

For those going through tribulations and facing trials of all kinds; knowing this blessing can be a great source of comfort even if we have to face death, for we will know that our next conscience moment will be rising in the air to meet Yahusha and thereafter can never die again. (Revelation 20:6)

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

If we are “in Yahusha HaMachiach” it means we belong to our Heavenly Father and to His Son, and are allowing them to live in us; empowering us to live for them and to walk in all of their ways. And blessed are those who are still “in HaMachiach” and are faithful right up until the moment they die. Even though they can take nothing material with them from this present world, all their righteous works and the character that was fashioned and molded while living in the flesh will follow them!

This Blessing is an assurance to all the servants of Yahuah that the work (the keeping of the commandments and doing all His will) they have done in Yahusha’s name and all that they had to endure in their lives will not be in vain; but will be remembered by Yahuah Himself after their death and He will give them their reward.

*BLESSING 3

~ Revelation 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watched, and kept his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

There is a Blessing for those who are spiritually alert and who are watching not only the events that are happening all around them, but are being diligent to keeping themselves untainted by the wickedness that is in the world. This has some of the same wording that is in the address to the Laodicians.

Revelation 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

This is a blessing if we are watching, but also contains a warning for those who may becoming lukewarm and complacent about their calling, that they must be vigilant to make sure this doesn’t happen to them. If they find that they are becoming lukewarm in their commitment to serve Yahuah with all their hearts (Laodician), they can still repent and receive this blessing.

To be wearing white garments and to have our nakedness covered is a depiction of spiritual holiness and righteousness. We are called to put on the divine nature of Yahusha in terms of practical holiness, but we also are given, through faith, the righteousness of Yahusha as a garment if we are letting Him live in us.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with HaMashiach: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but HaMashiach liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of Elohim, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into HaMashiach have put on HaMashiach.

Ephesians 4:20 But ye have not so learned HaMashiach; 21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Yahuasha: 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after Yahuah is created in righteousness and true holiness.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before Elohim and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

The verses in Revelation about being naked seem to reflect back to the kind of shame which sin brings us which makes us want to hide from the holiness of Yahuah; the same shame that Adam and Eve felt after they became aware of their sin when they rebelled against Yahuah and knew that they had disobeyed Him. We must always be vigilant to be covered with the righteousness of Yahuah no matter what. We must watch and be on guard against letting sin overtake us.

Genesis 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Revelation 16:15 says that these are those that watched; inferring that they did not let themselves get caught up in the sinful things that would cause them to walk naked, but clothed themselves with the righteousness of Elohim.

Yahusha tells us that He is coming as a thief, meaning that we just do not know exactly when He is coming. He could come for us personally if we should die tonight, or next week, or next month. Most of us do not really know how much longer we have on this earth, so He pronounces a Blessing for those who keep themselves prepared and to be ready for whenever their time of living in this present physical life is up.

*BLESSING 4

~Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of Yahuah.

Yahuah pronounces a Blessing upon those who are called and chosen to participate in the Marriage Supper for they have overcome their sin and human nature in this life and will have qualified to be in the first resurrection and will reign with Him. These are those who make up the Bride of Yahusha!

Those who have been called and who have remained faithful throughout their lives will then be chosen to have a part in the First Resurrection. They will partake of the Marriage Supper with Yahusha HaMashiach who is called the Lamb in this verse. Yahusha, Himself, eagerly looks forward to this Marriage Supper with His Bride.

Matthew 26:29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom. 30 And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Isaiah 62:5…and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy Elohim rejoice over thee.

Revelation 19:7  speaks also of the marriage to the Lamb and continues the theme from the previous Blessing of being arrayed [clothed] in fine clean white linen that is symbolic of the righteousness befitting of saints.

Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

The future will be a time of endless happiness and rejoicing for those who have been called to partake of the Marriage Supper with the Lamb and who go on to live in the Millennium period and then into the New Jerusalem as the following verses also depict:

Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from Yahuah, 11 Having the glory of Yahuah: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; Yahuah of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The Elohim of the whole earth shall he be called.

*BLESSING 5

~ Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of Yahuah and of HaMashiach, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Those who qualify to be a part of the First Resurrection will truly be blessed as they will share in the inheritance of Yahusha and will be given positions of great authority in the Kingdom of Elohim. But they will not use their positions for self-aggrandizement as the kings and rulers of this present age do, but as opportunities to help Yahusha in bringing in the rest of humanity to become members of the Father’s family. It will be a wonderful blessing to be able to share in the work of bringing many more sons and daughters into Yahuah’s Plan of Salvation and into His Kingdom.

And for those who qualify to be part of the first resurrection, another reward will be that they will never have to worry about death (the second death) anymore, or pain, for they will have new spiritual bodies that cannot die and they will no longer be tempted to sin as in the days they were in the flesh. What a blessing that will be!

Revelation 5:10 And hast made us unto our Elohim kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of Elohim did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

The “kings of the earth” will be the resurrected saints who are then reigning with Yahusha HaMashiach. These saints are blessed because they overcame in their lifetimes and will receive the honor of sitting with Yahusha on His throne and they will come into possession of the glorious kingdom that the Father is going to give to them.

Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Daniel 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

*BLESSING 6

~Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Yahuah is coming and once things start coming together, the events that are prophesied to happen will come suddenly and quickly. There is a Blessing for all those who remember the words of Revelation and keep the ways contained in it; the main intent of prophecy is to lead us to trust and obey Yahuah and to apply His truth to the way we live and conduct our lives.

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and HaMashiach, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Yahuah of hosts.

This passage continues in the theme of the Day of Yahuah and admonishes Yahuah’s people to be prepared so that they do not have to suffer the judgments that will come in that day.

Malachi 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap: 3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto Yahuah an offering in righteousness.

Revelation 3:11-12  also tells us that Yahusha is going to come back to earth quickly. Even if it is still a ways off, time goes by quickly and before we know it our time will be up. We need to be redeeming the time while we can; and if we do we will be blessed!

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my Elohim, and the name of the city of my Elohim, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my Elohim: and I will write upon him my new name.

2 Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

*BLESSING 7~

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his  commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Yahuah’s Blessing is upon those who “do His commandments”. Yahuah says that they have the authority and right to partake of the Tree of Life!

This last beatitude takes us right back to the Garden of Eden, whereas after 6000 years of man’s rule on earth, the Eden-like condition will be restored and it will be at that time that mankind will once again have the opportunity to partake of the Tree of Life; for all those who obey Yahuah and keep all of His commandments. What a wonderful blessing that will be, it is hard to even imagine how splendid this promise is to those who believe in and keep Elohim’s Commandments.

The final two chapters of Revelation tells us of the climatic ending to man’s dilemma of being separated from his Creator and that the Tree of Eternal Life will once again be offered to those who overcome the ways of this world; who overcame the proclivity to decide for themselves what is right and what is wrong, and have chosen to obey all of Yahuah’s commandments, laws, statutes and judgments! The ones who have the right to enter into the Gates of the City will be those who have conformed their lives through their submission and obedience unto Yahuah and who love and obey His commandments.

Only people who are forgiven and covered by HaMashiach’s sacrifice and who go on to obey Yahuah and keep His commandments are promised eternal life and the right to the Tree of Life; not those who profess that they are Christians and then do not obey Yahuah, or those who say that Yahuah’s commandments are done away with, or who go after idols and the false traditions of men.

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven:  but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Deuteronomy 6:1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which Yahuah your Elohim commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: 2 That thou mightest fear Yahuah thy Elohim, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. 3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as Yahuah Elohim of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of Elohim..

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth Yahuah thy Elohim require of thee, but to fear Yahuah thy Elohim, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Yahuah thy Elohimwith all thy heart and with all thy soul, 13 To keep the commandments of Yahuah, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

The Bible, which contains the words of life and the Plan of Salvation, shows us the way to live and reveals to us the way to eternal life. If we obey Yahuah and keep His commandments, He promises rich spiritual rewards here in this life and much more spiritual rewards forever in His Kingdom; but IF we continue to disobey him and refuse to repent, He promises condemnation and eternal death.

Those that overcome and keep all of Yahuah’s commandments will be entitled to partake of the Tree of Life! They will be given eternal life and will enter the gates that lead into the Holy City, the New Jerusalem that is described so eloquently in the final chapters of Revelation. Blessing # 7 is the last blessing written in the Book of Revelation and is the capstone of all the other blessings combined.

It behooves us to keep reading and pondering the words of this extraordinary book, the Book of Revelation, so that we, too, can receive the blessings it promises for those who not only read, but “hear” the words of this Book!

In Conclusion

Because the time is at hand and Yahusha is coming back very soon now, we do not want to be found naked (tainted by sin) when He comes as a thief in the night! For those who die in Him, their works will follow them; and if they stay fully clothed in the white linen of the righteousness of the Word of Elohim, they shall take their places at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb and thereafter serve as holy Kings and Priests unto our Elohim. We will be called sons and daughters of Elohim our Father and have access to the eternal Holy City and to the Tree of Life.

Are we seeing the full picture of what Yahuah is doing? The message of Yahuah’s Plan of Salvation for all mankind began in Genesis and ends in Revelation. It began with Adam and Eve who were created with the capacity to choose; yet they chose to rebel and disobey their Creator.

Humanity has followed in their footsteps ever since, choosing the way of Satan rather than the ways of Yahuah. Genesis records the history of mankind beginning with two people who started out with a clean slate but who failed to fulfill Yahuah’s purpose for them by taking of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and deciding for themselves what they would consider to be right and wrong in their own eyes.

Our first parents sinned and failed miserably and then attempted to cover their sin and shame with aprons made from fig leaves. But Yahuah has provided a solution to their failure by the giving of His own dear Son who cleanses us with His own precious blood, purchasing our redemption and covering us with beautiful white robes of righteousness.

Genesis records the creation of man made physically in Yahuah’s image but who failed to live up to his potential by continuing the process to be made into Yahuah’s spiritual image.

The beginning of the Bible tells of the sad history of two people who were created with no sin but who rebelled to become sinners. It records their failure to live up to Yahuah’s design for them by their disobedience and the resulting shame, the attempt to cover themselves by their own carnal ingenuity, and then the expulsion from the Garden by the One who created them because of their rebellion.

The subsequent books of the Bible continue the accounts of Adam’s children who chose the same path as their first parents and reaped misery, pain and unhappy lives with no hope for any kind of future because of sin.

But then we come to the end of the 6000 years of the rule of man that taught us the lesson that men CANNOT rule themselves nor others without the Mighty One the Creator of heaven and earth and all that they contain. The Book of Revelation is the completion of that history which shows how Yahuah is going to take care of all of the destruction and evil that has culminated at the end of this age as a result of sin and human nature. The last Book of the Bible teaches that there is GREAT HOPE for all who have learned the lesson that sin does not bring blessings and turn to Yahuah in sincere repentance coming to the understanding and knowledge that they can be redeemed after all.

All those who repent and embrace the ways of Yahuah will have the final victory over sin and Satan and will have the privilege of living eternally with their Elohim. Those who refuse to repent will not be allowed into Yahuah’s kingdom nor the Holy City.

The Creator is our champion; the King of kings who will take over His rightful rulership of this world and will usher in peace and righteousness for all those who choose to obey Yahuah rather than continue in the destructive pattern of their first parents and their descendants. He reveals to us His merciful solution to the awful decision of our first parents and all who came after.

Yahusha HaMashiach, the Lamb of Elohim who taketh away the sins of the world and who cares for His sheep as a loving protective Shepherd; the Messiah that was promised to come way back in the book of Genesis has made it possible for the gates to be OPENED to allow mankind (the sincerely repentant who have turned their back on the ways of Satan) ACCESS to the Tree of Life!

Where the first Adam failed and was driven from the Garden of Eden; the Second Adam has made possible and has paved the way to the entrance to the second (restored) Garden of Eden when all things are fulfilled.

The Book of Revelation is a prophecy of the successful ending to the predicament of humanity which has been deceived all through history. We all have chosen to live the way of falsehood; but when all is finished and Satan’s rulership is no more, all of Adam’s descendants will finally come to know the true knowledge that leads to an abundant and glorious life with Yahuah for evermore. Elohim’s Spirit will be poured out so that living the way that Yahuah designed for all mankind will finally be achievable.

To sum this up, we go back to 1 Corinthians 15 that promises that death is going to be destroyed once and for all:

1 Corinthians 15:20 But now is HaMashiach risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in HaMashisach shall all be made alive. 23 But every man in his own order: HaMashiach the firstfruits; afterward they that are HaMashiach’s at his coming. 24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to Yahuah, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

And we can say with Paul:

Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of Yahuah! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

The Book of Revelation is a book of instructions to the Ekklesia (the servants and children of Elohim) and is a prophecy of this wonderful future that is just up ahead after almost 6000 years of man’s failures here on earth. We are almost there. Why wouldn’t we want to read and study this fantastic book that has such a glorious ending, and when we come to the final pages, Yahuah our Creator, has the FINAL VICTORY!

There are seven BLESSINGS in the Book of Revelation, only those who reject the path that their first parents took (Adam and Eve), and then choose to trust and obey their Heavenly Father for all eternity will receive them.
